Manual for youth workers

Manual for youth workers, who provide support to young people in the implementation of youth initiatives, was created as a result of the project Active for future. The project, which is funded by the Erasmus+, Strengthening the institutional capacity in the field of youth (Capacity Building projects), has enabled European and African partners to develop a methodology or a manual for youth workers, who have to deal with mentoring and supporting youth initiatives.

Local workshops in Slovenia

Active for Future local workshops in Celje, Slovenia

Between 6th of December 2016 and 17th of January 2017 local workshops were conducted in Celje, Slovenia, as part of the project Active for future. Celje youth center has conducted 5 local workshops, which were led by youth workers, with the intention to develop skills, knowledge and abilities of the youth, so that they can increase their chances for employment through so called youth initiative.

International youth exchange in Celje, Slovenia

International youth exchange in Celje

Between 18th and 25th of September 2016 Celjski mladinski center hosted international youth exchange »Active for future«, participated by 36 youth from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Bulgaria, Romania and Slovenia.
The topic of the exchange was informal acquirement of knowledge and skills in the world, where employers expect more and more from job seekers. Expanding, enhancing and dissemination of knowledge, that are not evaluated with certified document, are gaining in value and have essential meaning for professional and personal growth.

Local workshops in Tanzania

Active for Future local workshops in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

Between 2nd and 6th of August 2016 local workshops were conducted in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, as part of the project Active for future. AMSHA (Amsha institute of rural entrepreneurship) performed 7 local workshops, which were led by youth workers, with the intention to develop skills, knowledge and abilities of the youth, so that they can increase their chances for employment through so called youth initiative.

Local workshops in Uganda

Active for Future training in Kampala, Uganda

Between 18th of July and 5th of August 2016 local workshops were conducted in Kampala, Uganda, as part of the project Active for future. Uganda Youth Skills Training Organization has conducted 30 local workshops, which were led by youth workers, with the intention to develop skills, knowledge and abilities of the youth, so that they can increase their chances for employment through so called youth initiative.

Local workshops in Bulgaria

Active for Future training in Bulgaria

In the period between 20th and 23th of July 2016, the National Management School implemented a training called “From initiative to your own business”. The training was part of the local group activities of the project and aimed to raise young people’s awareness towards active citizenship and unemployment problems. The process included design of a training programme, selection of 10 young people from Sofia to participate in the training, and carrying out training of 8 of them in social skills and how to design, plan and implement a youth initiative.

Active for Future local workshops in Bucharest, Romania

Between 16th and 22th of July 2016 local workshops were conducted in Bucharest, Romania, as part of the project Active for future. Romanian Youth Forum has conducted 2 local workshops, which were led by youth workers, with the intention to develop skills, knowledge and abilities of the youth, so that they can increase their chances for employment through so called youth initiative.

Local workshops in Kenya

Developing skills of Community members

Between 13th and 18th of June 2016 local workshops were conducted in Nairobi, Kenya as part of the project Active for future. VACK (Volunteer Action for Change Kenya) performed 6 local workshops, which were led by youth workers, with the intention to develop skills, knowledge and abilities of the youth, so that they can increase their chances for employment through so called youth initiatives.

Dissemination activities

Active for Future info meetings

All consortium partners are conducting dissemination on local, regional and national level. Some of them are organizing information meetings with stakeholders, decision makers, youth workers, youth organizations and other general public, others organize press conferences, discussions on the project topic,…
